Simple pleasures

I had a crazy workload for the entire week, which I finally completed on Friday, and so I got to enjoy the weekend. One of the highlights of the weekend was I managed to attend a homeschooling graduation ceremony at church with my wife. It was really interesting, as I've never attended a homeschooling graduation before. The graduates were all taught by their parents at home for the past 12 years, and we could see the remarkable difference in the way they acted and carried themselves. They are not the typical rebellious teenager, that's for sure. Instead, it was evident that God was at work in their lives and they purposed to serve and glorify God as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. What a great reminder of the need to glorify God in all that we do.

After the ceremony, my wife and I got home and relaxed, and somehow ended up playing the children's song "Jesus Loves Me" with me on guitar and she on violin. I really love and enjoy playing music together with her. It's simple pleasures like this that make life so meaningful. I really hope that I'll be able to enjoy as much of these moments with the dearest and closest people to me as I can throughout my life.
