Are you called?

Are you called to serve God.. full time?? Yes, that's quite a question. Most of us have probably pondered about that question at least once in our lives.

If that's you, you might be interested to know that Dave Harvey of Sovereign Grace Ministries has written a 50-page booklet called "Am I Called?". I have read the first few pages.. it looks very promising. As with all material from Sovereign Grace, it's written with a gospel-centered perspective which I find very refreshing.

And yes, it's available online as a PDF file. Another book to add to my Online Christian Books list. You can also buy the booklet itself at the Sovereign Grace store.

I have recently discovered the power and potency of these verses. We are made righteous in His eyes through Jesus Christ. How much love that God has poured onto us to send His Son down to die for us that we be made righteous in God's eyes again!
Paul upholds this gospel that we live day by day through His rightousness and Grace. Amen!

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

2 Corinthians 5:21

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

Romans 8:1

Yes, Amen!

There are actually two parts to it... first, God declares us righteous even though we're not (just like a human judge can declare a guilty person innocent -- in our case, we are the guilty party). And second, God transfers Christ's perfect record of righteousness to us!

And God has purposed to do this for us before the beginning of time.. even though we're worthless sinners and were His enemies.

It's grace at it's most amazing!
